Truck Launch Campaign

2020-10-19

We're excited to share something special!

Thanks to the tremendous support we received from the community, our newest addition to Feed the Need in Durham is ready to roll…

While we are so very thankful, we are also excited to deliver more food and resources to our Partners, who are dealing with food insecurity issues daily across Durham Region.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been the greatest challenge we’ve all had to face in the last 100 years.  Despite these challenges we continue to see the outstanding efforts by so many people to support those in need – from food drives, to food and monetary donations and other resources to help people live through the pandemic with dignity.  It’s truly a community effort and we’re all so lucky to live in one of the best countries in the world.

Please join our journey by following along with our “Truck Launch Campaign“ – a campaign from October 19th to 31st that celebrates our newest asset and creates awareness for how your donations are put to great use.

Campaign items will be posted on social media and our new website througout the month… stay-tuned for more…

Anushka & Arushi are sisters and child authors. They recently wrote a book and donated some of their profits to FTND! They were able to provide 75 meals to those in need.

Anushka started reading at the age of 2 and she reads over 1000 books every year. She published her first book at the age of 8!

Arushi started writing at the age of 5. She is now 7 years old and in grade 2.

On behalf of everyone at FTND and the communities that we serve, thank you, Anushka and Arushi!

Over the past year food bank visits have increased by 58 percent within Durham region. We cannot exist without the generosity and donations we receive through funds but also food drives! Thank you to the schools, local clubs, community groups and individuals that have worked tirelessly to host food drives in our communities. Every dollar and every item donated truly does make a difference to our organization.

As we get ready for the holidays and for another year to come to a close, we wanted to recognize some of our key donors that have helped make this year such a success.
