About Us: A shopping-style food bank open to anyone facing food insecurity in the Durham Region.

Hours: Open on Tuesdays from 3pm to 6pm

Requirements: The Market provides Durham residents with barrier-free access to food. Once registered and having received a Visitor Card, we ask that cards please be presented upon each visit.



We’re excited to introduce our new online booking system for visits to The Market Food Bank!

Our goal is to continuously improve your experience, minimize wait times and provide you with seamless and efficient service!

To book your next visit, simply fill out the online form below.  You will then receive your visit number and the recommended time that you should arrive at the food bank.

Please be assured that we are dedicated to serving you, and you can still receive food assistance during The Market hours, even if your number has already been called or if you’ve missed your recommended arrival time.

For New Visitors to The Market Food Bank

If you are new to The Market Food Bank – Welcome!

To receive your Visitor Card and Client ID Number, please register with us in-person on Tuesday between 3pm to 6pm.

For Visitors already registered with The Market Food Bank:

Our online booking opens each Wednesday at 10am and closes the following Monday at 10am.

If you have missed the booking window, drop-in visits to The Market are always welcome! Our drop-in visitors should expect to incur a minimum one-hour wait time.

  1. Once your form is completed and submitted – 24 hours prior to the food bank opening, your assigned visit number and recommended time of arrival will be sent to the email address provided.


Please submit only ONE form per household or family.

To receive a visit number, your form must be completed in full, including your Client ID Number and a VALID email address. *Your Client ID Number can be found on your Visitor Card

Any duplicate, partial or incomplete forms will not be accepted, any misuse of this form will not be tolerated.

If you have not previously registered with us, or do not have access to your Client ID Number – please see us in-person at the front desk on Tuesday between 3pm to 6pm, and we’ll be happy to help!
