Bulk Food Purchasing Program

Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Feed the Need (FTND) was spending approximately $10 – $15k per year on bulk food purchases following the annual Durham Business Food Drive Challenge.  This initiative was created in order to stock up our shelves during the summer season when donations are typically lower.

Since April of 2020, FTND has been able to purchase over $200,000 worth of bulk food through our new bulk food purchasing program funding stream.  This newly created program has been extremely successful and allows donors to allocate their monetary donation directly to food purchasing.  FTND is working towards creating a sustainable purchasing program as we move through the pandemic and forward in to the recovery period.

Your donation to this program will help to ensure a steady supply of staple items are available for those who need it most.
