Hunger in our community is on the rise. The number of undernourished people is growing primarily because of the cost of rising food prices, rising rent, conflict, and the COVID-19 pandemic. As September is Hunger Action Month in Durham, let’s take a moment to rethink our thoughts and actions about the health and well-being of our fellow Durham residents who face food insecurity.
As we aim to spread awareness, we seek everyone’s help to spread our message that hunger is unacceptable in our community. Therefore, we encourage you to join us by donating, volunteering and advocating the elimination of hunger in our community. #fighthungertoday
